Unfortunately this was the app that was rumbled for their Adware under the previous name 'Dr Cleaner'. And Cleaner One pro by Trend Micro which can clean temporary files, including logs, mail caches, iTunes and iOS temporary files, etc. It tells you how much application memory is free. Not worth the price for just the memory booster. This is my menu bar, which includes Memory Clean's display. Yes, I'm aware of the different kinds of memory use, and at one point I could have told you what they are. It doesn't always free the memory when you quit the program so you can run other big programs, regardless of what should happen. Remember that by design the macOS will not automatically clear recently used data from memory unless/until it is needed by some other process.īasically, as long as the 'memory pressure' graph at the bottom of the Activity Monitor window stays green, everything should be OK. ![]() ![]() If you have an update available, select Upgrade Now. For System Preferences, select Software Update. This usually involves dumping the disk cache, which is very bad for system performance. For System Settings, choose General on the left. Where specifically in Activity Monitor do you see Affinity Photo still using memory after it has quit? Is it private memory (memory not available to other app because the OS has reserved it for the private use of AP), shared memory that other apps might still need to use, or what?
